Install a game

Press the left soft key to open the menu, then choose Install Jar. The app lists all JAR files found on the device.

Allow file access when KaiOS asks for permission. Select the JAR you want to install. If a file name is too long to fit on screen, use the left and right arrow keys to scroll it.

Reorder games

On the home screen, highlight a game and hold OK to enter sort mode. Use the arrow keys to move the game, then press OK again to save the new order.

Manage games

Highlight a game and press OK to open its game menu. The menu shows game information and currently supports Start and Delete.

Pause and resume

KaiOS does not have an extra pause button. At the moment, the game can be paused by turning off the screen or sending the app to the background. The emulator detects that the app is no longer visible and pauses the game automatically.

For example, on a Nokia 8110 4G, close the keyboard cover. On a Nokia 2780 Flip, close the flip cover. The screen turns off immediately and the game pauses automatically.

Return to the game and press OK/5 to continue.

Force quit a game

Press the device’s hang-up key while playing to quit the game and return to the home screen. If your device does not have a hang-up key, hold * for three seconds.
